. frequently asked questions
* Can this course be useful to me even if I haven't studied English?
The fundamental element for a positive outcome to the seminar is an interest for communication in English and an openness to explore a path that includes a awareness of oneself.
Those who have and those who have not studied are part of the same group. This diversity is functional within our work of becoming more aware of our communication and in any case, the methodologies proposed can be used by each participant starting from their level.
* Are two week-ends or a five-day seminar sufficient?
Inglese senza Sforzo aims to make understanding possible and available, and is not a mere passing-on of notions. It is the quality of one's presence that is most relevant, much more so than the amount of time.
We will not have English lessons (already on offer elsewhere), but try methods of learning that can be implemented whenever new notions are to be learned.
Naturally those who have never studied the language before, will have to dedicate some time to familiarizing themselves with these new methods and notions.
* I can read and write in English quite easily but have difficulties speaking the language?
This is very common for those who have studied English following a program of studies that was based on the translation on texts and the learning of grammatical rules and structures.
Inglese Senza Sforzo is founded on the recognition that a language is principally an instrument so that people can speak and understand one another, while reading and writing are secondary. The natural approach to learning a language helps to bridge this gap and to overcome these difficulties.
* What is the difference between the course in two week-ends and the residential seminar?
The residential seminar enables a greater in-depth exploration, given both the greater amount of time at available, as well as the level of relaxation which can be reached when we step away from the daily routine and immerse ourselves completely, focusing exclusively on our path.
For those who are unable to attend a residential seminar, the course has been divided into two week-ends. The program is slightly reduced.
* In what ways can mediation techniques be of help?
Meditation techniques offer the necessary support which favors a greater contact with oneself. A substantial part of the seminar is dedicated to overcoming the locking mechanisms that arise in communication and learning; the clarity available to us when we are in the present, enables us to find the key for change within ourselves
* Can this course be appropriate for my son/ daughter?
Inglese senza Sforzo is a course for adults; for those who have directly experienced the usefulness and importance of speaking an international language. Young people aged 15 and over will be welcomed and considered 'adults' in every aspect of our work. For their participation, a telephone interview can be established directly with the young person in question.
