. methodology

During the seminar we will explore together modern methodologies that can be used later on as well.

The elements that form an integral part of the course are:

conversation exercises
with particular attention dedicated to the emotions and thoughts that arise when using a language that is not yet familiar

“One of the highlights is the exercise done in pairs, where the participants ask the question “how are you?” in turns. It's necessary to maintain eye-contact; the person who listens must not interfere, keep a receptive attitude and remain non-judgmental. The person who speaks must not stop; if he is unable to put together a sentence he can say words: computer, nightclub, fitness ... The experience is emotionally strong and the blocks and locking mechanisms come up. The inadequacy and sense of shame of making mistakes can be felt, as can the tendency to give up which magnifies the difficulty”

from the article by Laura Savini published in the weekly GIOIA

learning methodologies
which include rationality, intuition, and relaxation that are implemented through the natural way of learning a language

creative improvisations
playing with English using music and songs

guided relaxations
to communicate directly with the unconscious and abandon old convictions which are no longer relevant, such as “I'm no good at languages” and “English is difficult”, etc.

gibberish

“Among the active techniques used is gibberish, created by the Indian mystic, Osho, 20 minutes of raving nonsense as if speaking Chinese or German without knowing either, to reset the mind, be more present with oneself and to improve the quality of one's communication”

from the article by Laura Savini published in the weekly GIOIA

Sharing during the summer seminar

active meditation techniques
to integrate and deepen comprehension, creating the necessary presence for an attentive communication

The course is experiential and the exercises are created so that participants have the opportunity to understand both the obstacles and solutions that enable change.
